When I started writing stories about my life experiences, I’d never have guessed that people would react so strongly to them. They’ve gotten a great reception, and since I’ve been told for years that I tell really good stories, I decided to edit a few of the ones that I’ve written, write a bunch more, and compile them all into a collection. Thus, Invisible Candy.
Included in the book are stories like the time I got engaged for a day, the most unromantic first time in history, my awful habits as a young writer, and having a hot Swedish nanny move into my neighborhood.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be updating this site with snippets from stories that have been written solely for the book, like the time I was hit by a car, the first fist fight I ever got into, my tendency as a child to eat invisible objects, and my stint as Mexican wrestler Dorito Sanchez.
Overall, there will be around 20 to 25 stories, and I’m very, very excited to share all of these with you. The book will be available in October.
